New design
14 October 2017

During a long time I could not take care about my art activity because of some changes in my life, I moved from Paris, France to Budapest, Hungary and my installation took some time. In these days I forced myself to find some spare time to change the look of my website which I created from A to Z and I manage it completely. If you like the new skin of my website, please do not hesitate to find the social media buttons in the left sidebar and share on Facebook, tweet on Twitter or recommend on Google+ my web page. Netlog (formerly known as Facebox and Bingbox) was a Belgian social networking website (it has been merged with Twoo for today) where I met a lot of talented professional and hobby photographer, and also their admirers, followers. We became friends with time and I invited them for a dinner. This dinner has transformed for a regular meeting in future.
Meeting with Salgado
20 September 2005

In 2005, I had an invitation by the City Hall of Rennes, France for a Sebastiao Salgado's exhibition and I had occasion to meet this award-winning Brazilian photographer known for his arresting documentation of communities around the world. He was awarded the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund Grant in 1982,[2] Foreign Honorary Membership of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1992[3] and the Royal Photographic Society's Centenary Medal and Honorary Fellowship (HonFRPS) in 1993. He is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
About
I am Hungarian origin, was born in Budapest. I have moved to Paris, France in 1999 and I had the opportunity to immerse myself in art more deeply from that year, I am self-educated. From 2002 I started to create my mosaic paintings and I made a ceramist training in potter's wheel craft at the French Ceramic Academy, belonging to the famous ceramics factory of Sèvres.
The first series are called “Africa” with portrays and dancing figures after the photography of the book “African ceremonies” made by Angela Fisher and Carol Beckwith. I participated in the 5th. International Mosaic Symposium in October - November 2004 in Chartres (France) which was my first exhibition and I was the 3rd prize winner of Picassiette Award's Public Vote with my above mentioned art pieces. This regular exhibition is one of the most important for the World's mosaists, it has determined my artistic future.
The second series were born with the aim of searching for the surrealism what our life resemble more and more. In these series the dominant colours are red and black and the themes are lively, impressive, sarcastic. The third series are searching for the light in the darkness. Used colours are from white via grey to black (called monochrome) with brightless tiles and it serves to play with shadows. It expresses well the nostalgia, living in me.
My mosaic style is unique : realistic, expressionist or surrealistic with personalised cuts. I use a non traditional way with placing the tiles very close to each other; the grout has no important rule, not like in traditional mosaics.
From 2007 my interest is approached more and more towards the photography, web-design and digital art with image retouch. Starting with a Canon Powershot G3, then a Canon EOS 400D digital camera, my equipment was always modest.
In photography, the light and dark attracted me, so I installed a small studio in my home with a black background. My models were mainly non-professional models, other photographers and some friends among others.
I am passionate, too many things interest me, I have a feeling that I will never be able to finish creating all the subjects what I would like, which is in my head. The human, the body, different faces, beauty are in my main repertoire. We say that art shows our own face as a mirror, it reflects the real ego... well, I love theatrical, funny or dramatic scenes, humor and profound pain can change each other in myself. That is what I want to express with my scenic images. Because of my frequent travels, I love capturing the landscape, exotic people, the variety of traditional dresses, habits. The details of the objects cause me difficulty sometimes, I am able to miss the opportunity or a decisive moment. But thanks to my character, I often force myself to do what seems difficult to improve myself.
